every body eat crackers review

Another great find at the Online Nourished Festival this year is every body eat an allergy-friendly company that makes crackers called snack thins. After reading the ingredients as well as the company story, I reached out letting them know a bit of my story as well as to inquire about their nutritional yeast. They do use Red Star and it is fortified, so if that affects you, please be aware of this with the Cheese-less & Fiery Chile Lime flavors.

These snacks are true to their name in that they are a cross between a cracker and Siete-style chips. Their MOUTHFEEL is thin and light. They are crunchy and break easily which is a downside for transportation. The upside is that the crumbs taste just as good as the full crackers.

Ingredients

For details on ingredients, visit their ingredients page. Here are some company highlights you can find on the webpage including their story which details the origin and the why behind these snacks: “So we set out to help make it easy to eat with everybody. We create crave-able, crunchy crackers—and soon, creamy dip-dressings, flavor blends, and more—that happen to be free from the 15 ingredients that are associated with 90% of food allergies and intolerances. We take the time and guesswork out of eating, with food so good, people fight for seconds—regardless of diet. You’ll taste chive and chili pepper, not chalk. Ranch, not rubber. Garlic, not grit. So serve it, share it, and happily feed everybody at your table.” To learn more, check out their page, read the labels and their FAQ page.

Flavors

We were able to review all four flavors . What we love about this brand is that the following ingredients are NOT used: wheat/gluten; milk/dairy; soy; peanuts; tree nuts; corn; sesame; eggs; mustard; celery; lupin; sulfites; fish; shellfish; mollusks; excuses - Isn’t the last one the best?

You can purchase these snacks here as well as on their webpage. And now for our impressions of these wonderful snacks…

SEA SALT CHIA. Nice salt & chia balance. These are reminiscent of Plant Snacks seed flavor crossed with Siete’s Sea Salt flavor. These are a great neutral flavor for dipping & pairing with cheese if you are able to eat it.

CHEESE-LESS. The nutritional yeast cheese flavor is spot on! It is reminiscent of “cheez-its”, but WITHOUT the wheat-full feeling that is heavy & makes one thirsty. The thins with more salt emphasize the cheese flavor. THIS IS THE FAMILY FAVORITE.

CHIVE & GARLIC. The garlic flavor is strong with a chive aftertaste that is overpowering. This flavor would pair nicely with a hummus. Our family paired it with a home-made pesto (see picture below). EVERYONE ENJOYED.

FIERY CHILE LIME. The flavor is “kick-your-arse” hot after the initial bite & continues as you eat more. This flavor is for those who enjoy a fiery snack. Everyone in the family agreed & only Papa Bear was able to enjoy them with several comments about the heat. We both agree that these would add nice flavor to a breading for chicken for example.

Favorites summary

Overall, our family ranked the flavors in order of preference: Cheese-less (favorite), Sea Salt Chia tied with Garlic & Chive, Fiery Chile Lime is last as we can’t handle how hot it is.

We hope that this review is helpful to you and your family and that you will consider supporting a women-owned, family-run business that understands the gluten & corn-intolerances as well as allergies. Thank you Trish & Dick for sharing your wonderful snacks with our family. Look for allergy-friendly faux Kit Kats coming in January using the Chia flavor.
